My name is Susan Dalton and I am an architectural designer turned cake designer, photographer, and mom.  Over the past couple of years, I've  developed a passion for natural light photography.  It is so fun and exciting being able to capture moments of peoples lives and turn them into something they can keep forever.  Now I get to do two things that I love, be a mom and a photographer. 

Most of the pictures you will see on my blog are of my sweet daughter Finley Jane. It's just so fun to take pictures of her!  She is my inspiration.

 A little more about me:  I also do cakes! For the past six years, my husband and I have lived in Vail, Colorado, which is where I started my cake business,  Layer, five years ago.  I specialize in Wedding cakes, party cakes, and sculpted cakes.  You can check out my work at www.layeracakeshop.blogspot.com.
